Here are some abbreviations used in various article summaries. You probably already know them, but they're here anyway. Just in case.

DIM

Days in milk; the number of days since a cow last calved.

FMMO

Federal Milk Marketing Order

HPAI

Highly pathogenic avian influenza. In the context of dairy cows, it refers to H5N1 in the hemagglutinin clade 2.3.4.4b.

JDS

The Journal of Dairy Science

TLDR (TL;DR)

Internet slang for "too long; didn't read." Often used to introduce a summary of a more lengthy article, post, etc.
